a bright idea.

in 2018, while planning my own wedding, I set out in search of a unique, personalized, decor element to add a little somthin’ somethin’ to our reception. I came across a few photos of weddings + events overseas using marquee letter lights. as soon as i saw them, I said to myself “That’s it! I need that.” I searched high and low for a vendor in KC- or anywhere in the midwest- who could make my wish come true, but my search came up short. determined to light up my dance floor, I stubbornly decided that if wanted to bring this trend stateside, we’d just have to build them ourselves! and so, we did.

soon after our wedding, friends + vendors started asking if we could build marquee letters for their events & thus, luminate kc was born. Luminate Kc is a proudly female owned + opertated, local business, serving our beloved KC community + beyond. since we set up shop in 2018, we've been lucky enough to celebrate thousands of life’s most exciting moments with you.
